My Experiences With SEP IRA Retirement Plans

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

Learned today that my employer offers
SEP IRA Retirement Plans instead of 401ks. I know nothing about them. Time to do some research.
In particular, I need to know more about 5305 Sep Forms. There’s some decent stuff on the net about it, but it’s hard to stay focused on it. This stuff is just so dry and dull.
I’m hoping I’ll be able to set things up once and be done with it. Use dollar-cost averaging to smooth things out over time.

About SEP IRA Plans

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Checked into the benefits package at my new job today, and it looks like they focus on
SEP IRA Plans for retirement, instead of the standard 401k plan. Looks like I have some reading to do. I had never even heard about these before today.
I’ve been coming the net for info on Sep Ira Contribution Limits, but it’s been slow. This stuff just makes my eyes glaze over.
Hopefully I’ll be able to set things up and just let them coast after that. I don’t like micro-managing financial stuff.

Regarding International Banking Services

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

I think it’s high time I looked into
International Banking services. It’s a prudent move to diversify into currencies from other countries, especially with the Fed’s relentless inflationary policy.
To be specific, I’ve been reading up on
International Banks, looking for ways to protect myself from the Fed and our government’s outrageous monetary policy.
The worst case is that the dollar recovers, and my other holdings bounce back.
More on this soon.

Internet Banks

Sunday, June 1st, 2008

Bank of America stinks, just so you know. I’ve been using them for years just because they have ATMs all over town, but now I’m checking out High Yield Online Savings. There are much better deals to be had there. Sometimes you have to remind yourself that you are lending your money to the bank with these accounts, and they ought to be paying you. It’s not like you get to charge the bank fees when they loan you money, after all. I’ve been checking out Irwin Union Online Banking. They’re a pretty good deal. Low fees, good rates, good access. And I can use any bank’s ATM. Frankly, I couldn’t care less about meeting a banker in person. I’d much rather do my banking online with a click or two than wait in line at the branch. More people should check out internet banks instead of big banks.

Hi, I am Gabriel and I live in Nevada. Recently, my brother decided to invest in lands and I completely supported him. However, I am an avid reader and I had come across an article on the importance of estate planning. Therefore, I told my brother to consult an estate planning attorneys for the very same purpose. Estate planning is essential since it tells you exactly how much do you owe in taxes. It also ensures that you make some provisions for your successors. I am happy that my brother followed my advice.

Thinking About SEP IRA Retirement Plans

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Just started a new job that uses
SEP IRA Retirement Plans instead of a 401k plan. Looks like I have some research to do, now, as I haven’t the slightest idea how SEP IRAs work.
I’ve been digging around the net trying to learn more about
How To Set Up A Sep Ira so I can make the right decisions, but I’m a bit clueless when it comes to finance, so it’s been slow going.
It will be good to get some tax savings out of the deal at least. There are few enough ways to get ahead of the ever-growing tax monster these days.

Online Bank Accounts

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

I’ve been looking into online banking lately. I’ve had enough of big local banks. Lousy rates and high fees - why stick with them? It’s time for a change, so I’m going to try something new. I mean after all, it’s my money, and I’m lending it to them. They should pay for the privilege. And why should I have to pay fees to them? It’s not like I get to charge them fees when I borrow money from them. I personally like WaMu Online Banking. I’ve been with them for a couple of years now, and have no complaints. I’ve saved a lot of money as well. Frankly, I couldn’t care less about meeting a banker in person. I’d much rather do my banking online with a click or two than wait in line at the branch. You might want to look into the benefits of online banking yourself.

My Structured Settlement Experience

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

Let me share with you my personal experience and how I decided to go about structured settlement sales. First, a lawyer told me it was illegal tosell structured settlements. But then after doing a little bit of research, I found out that I could actually make the sale in case I can prove in court that I have a good reason for doing so. I was in a really bad position, hurt on the job, stuck with some small monthly payments that wouldn’t really help me get where I needed to go. So I decided to sell my settlement, and it really seemed to work. Soon I found out that not only could I get my money right away, but also that with inflation the lump sum I would be paid would be about the same as what I’d get waiting for the smaller checks to come in every month.

How to Get a Low Interest 24 Hour Payday Loan

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

If you need cash and you need it immediately, a 24 hour payday loan is what you need. As the name suggest, you can get the money you loan within 24 hours. This is faster and more convenient than applying for a loan at the bank where, for just approving your application, it will take many days. But there is a downside to this 24 hour payday loan, the interest rate is high. In order to avoid this, make sure that you pay the loan at the set deadline. Also, only borrow what you can pay off. The lower the amount you borrow, the lower the rate. Checking for lenders who charge the lowest fees, and don’t have other hidden fees, is also a good idea.

YNAB Budget Software

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Here is what another user of budget software (YNAB) has to say: “Having used many spreadsheets and programs for trying to keep a budget for longer than the last ice age, I always quit after a few months. Too many of them were great at keeping track of what I DID with my money but lousy at helping me KEEP some of my money.” So the whole point of using free budget software is actually saving some money and with a good product like YNAB, you will actually have a chance of doing that. You never know when it’s going to rain.

Online Savings Accounts

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

You know, I’m sick and tired of getting a lousy rate on my savings. I’ve decided to check out online savings accounts. It’s plain to me that most of the options there are a much better deal than I’ve been getting. I mean with the rates most big banks pay you, you’re not even keeping up with the huge rate of inflation in this country. Not even close. You’re actually losing money in real terms. Not exactly the sort of reward you’d like to get for saving. Check out WaMu Online Personal Checking for example. Their rates are way higher than anything you can get at the big corporate banks. And banking online is easier than dealing with lines at tellers anyway. Frankly, I couldn’t care less about meeting a banker in person. I’d much rather do my banking online with a click or two than wait in line at the branch. In fact, I think most people would be better off switching to an online bank.

Most Companies Choose a Payroll Processing System

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Many asset management companies only deal with the payroll processing system. Outsourcing payroll procedures has become very popular with most companies both large and small. In a payroll processing system, a group of accountants will offer the service and management of all payroll accounting processes. They deliver the payroll on time, so that the contracting company can dedicate itself to more important matters like sales and service. Even when there are last minute changes, a payroll company will take responsibility and deliver the payroll on time, so a company never has to worry about the employees being paid on time.

Why Buying a Term Life Insurance Might Be A Good Idea

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

Buying a term life insurance could be highly beneficial in lot of ways. If you are not a person who has a tendency to save, a term life insurance would help you do that because it is for a shorter duration. For e.g If you have a mortgage to be paid off in the next 5 yrs you can choose to go for a term life insurance for 5 yrs. Therefore it serves two purposes  you get into the habit of saving dome dollars and your debts get paid off with ease. Thereafter takes care of all your temporary requirements.
