About Bank Check Processing

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

I’d like to take something other than credit cards for my business, so it’s time to look into
Bank Check Processing. It will be good to save on those credit card fees.
So I’ve been reading up on Check Payment Processing. I’ve found some pretty good info, but it’s still hard to make a decision. I have a small budget, so cheaper looks better, of course, but there are other concerns as well.
It’s a pain, but hopefully will be worth the effort.

Can an Online Merchant Build a Retail Store Franchise?

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

Even though an online merchant does not occupy a specific geographic area, it may be possible to create an online retail store franchise.   Among other things, if you can prove you are successful a selling a specific product, you can sell the plans for doing so to other business retail store franchise owners.  You may also want to limit each new partner to a specific product line in order to create some form of territorial protection for each franchise member.   At the same time, if your logo can be trademarked, you can also sell the license to use it to all of the web based merchants in your franchise.  While you may not be able to charge as much in royalty fees, chances are this will change as internet based businesses evolve and adapt more traditional business models.

What is Branding?

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Irregardless of whether you are starting your own business from scratch, or considering taking part in a low cost franchise, it is very important to consider the implication of branding.  Basically, this is a process by which you seek to make it easy for consumers to identify your product as unique from similar ones.  Typically, both business and franchise owners will take legal steps to ensure that no other business can use certain materials without their permission.  As an example, even though McDonalds and Burger King both sell hamburgers, each has created a specific brand name for each item that they sell.    Branding can be accomplished with everything from slogans to logos, and any other  trademarked or copyrighted materials.

Keep Your Customers Satisfied

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Hi friends, I am David. I am working as a journalist in Sydney. It is very much true that customer satisfaction is an important factor to get success in any business. Before writing this comment I did a survey with few people to know what they think about customer satisfaction; and all the people are having the same answers, if there is no customer satisfaction then company can't run. It is the customer feedback which leads to launching of new things. So it is very necessary to have excellent customer service standards to keep the customer satisfied to increase the client list.

Making Follow-ups: A Sales Strategy Worth Doing

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

You just made a sale and now you are busy looking for another customer, completely forgetting the previous client. This is the most common mistake sale people commit. They tend to forget to do some follow-ups after closing a deal. If you want to be an effective sales agent, this is one sales strategy that you should master. Follow-ups are necessary so the clients will know that you appreciate what they just bought from your company. You can do this by sending a simple thank you note or an email. And when doing your follow up, you can make another sale by including some of your company’s products that your client might also be interested in.

Now What?.

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

The DataBase was up and running by now, It seemed that lots of information was going to be added into it, as time marched on. The list got longer and longer and longer.  Just like the SQL database, that my friend had used. That was before all those troubles that he had. The list got too big, as he had said. Or too long, as I had said. It all came down to just what type of  cms software, that you wre using, really.  SQL was fin, for a while, but then you found out about it's limits.

The move to the Mighty MS, took some beating, but at least it worked. I would have prefered some other form of  cms software, but in the end, it was his baby & his choice. The SQL was a good starting place, and we never really thought about outgrowing it. But does anyone?,

My kids go to the laundromat with me so they can get items out of the candy vending machines.

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

I have a washer and dryer, but both are in need of repair. The washer will not spin the clothes out properly, so they are sopping wet when I remove them from the tub. The dryer heats, but it will not tumble the clothes. When I remove them, the clothes on the top and bottom are dry, but the clothes in the middle are still wet. The appliances are very old, so they will cost a fortune to repair. I would be better off buying a new washer and dryer. I just cannot afford to do so right now. Until I am able to buy new ones, I have been taking my dirty laundry to the laundromat. My kids go to the laundromat with me, but they don't help me wash, dry, or fold the laundry. They go along so they can get items out of the candy vending machines. I put almost as much money in the vending machines as I do the washers and dryers.

The only vehicle available that could beat trains for the economical movement of goods is ships. In many landlocked areas, trains are the only cheap way of shipping large quantities of goods. The modular nature of many trains also allows several kind of cargo to be loaded onto them, with a change of car being all that’s necessary for this.
