Table top exhibits did the business

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

We had the tradeshow booth designed by a professional trade show booth designer, and one of the best ideas that he came up with in my opinion was the use of tabletop exhibits at every table within the booth itself. This meant that any time a prospective client or customer sat down at one of the tables in order to discuss the possibility of signing a contract with our company he could see a full and professional display giving all the information about our company, and enabling him to take away leaflets and other promotional material which would enable him to make a professional decision about the possibility of using our services. We now plan to use tabletop exhibits in the same format and every tradeshow that we attend.

Competitor Research

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

Doing a little poking around your competitors sites isn’t a bad idea.  This is one way to come up with ideas on what would make your company different or better.  Take a look at their traffic rankings and their related links.  By analyzing this information, you can see how many visitors they have each day and how profitable their company is.Once you find your passion, perhaps an affiliate marketing niche, ask yourself does this serve my customers.  You want to provide an excellent service to each and every person that spends their money with you.  This cuts down on complaints, bad reputations, and, worse of all, chargeback’s.

Using portable toll free numbers.

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

You have the ability to change your forwarding toll free phone number at any time through the Internet or over the phone when you travel. The FCC now requires that 800 numbers be portable, so that subscribers can port their numbers to a traditional phone line, allowing one to receive both direct calls and forwarded calls on the same phone. The numbers may remain in assigned status until changed to working status or for a subscriber to sell them for a maximum of six months. Assigned toll free number are telephone numbers that can be held by subscribers who do not have a year-round need for one of these numbers.

Publishing companies try to discourage authors from self-publishing.

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Publishing companies all operate the same. An author submits a manuscript for review. Usually, it is rejected. If it is accepted, an editor wants the author to make several changes before the book is published. Self-publishing is possible, and many authors that have been rejected or forced to make changes decide to take this route. Publishing companies will say that self-publishing will not lead to success. Although they will not publish the author, they try to discourage the writer from self-publishing. If they refuse to publish the manuscript, why do they care whether the author chooses to self-publish or not? Competition. They may feel that the work will not be successful, but publishers know that there is always the chance that they could be wrong. If an author self-publishes a manuscript, that book will be in circulation among the books that companies have published. The book may be a hit, reducing the sales of the books that they publishers have on the market.

Leads have always been important in all kinds of businesses.
