Researching Charitable Remainder Unitrusts

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

I’d really like for my estate not to end up in the hands of the IRS. So I’m checking out
Charitable Remainder Unitrusts. Looks like a good potential way to go.
Everything I have read about
thePew Charitable Trusts makes me thing that this is a good idea. I’d hate to see the bulk of my estate end up in the hands of the IRS.
The hardest part will be dividing the funds among the various charities I want to support.
Your comments are welcome as always.

Researching Charitable Remainder Unitrusts

Friday, June 6th, 2008

So I’d like to save on taxes and benefit a good cause at the same time. It seems like Charitable Remainder Unitrusts is a good way to accomplish both goals. I’ve already provided well enough for my heirs.
The more I learn about Charitable Lead Trusts, the more interested I become in using charitable trusts as a way to save on taxes and support causes I believe in at the same time.
Of course the hardest part will be convincing my wife that this is the best choice. She’ll want to give it all to the kids, but frankly they’re going to get more than enough as it is.
I’ll be looking forward to your comments.

Becoming A professional Business as A Company

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Last year, my friend Enrique was pressurized by the burden of heavy debts. Creation of a professional limited liability company brought in a ray of light in the life of a completely demoralized Enrique. With an assurance of protection of his financial assets, he was all set to work again with vigor and a new-found confidence. The company provided him protection against monsters lurking around his business assets. After having been cleared of all his debts, Enrique now sings the virtues of his limited liability company.

Definition about how to patent

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

The actual definition of  how to patent  is to know and make claims to the invention in support of a patent that include innovation, inventive, useful and applicable. Also important in how to patent is the local policies that help one determine the subject areas that are included and excluded. This way the inventor can support his claims to a successful patent. A vital point in how to patent is that, because a rightful ownership does not necessarily give the right to exploit the patent, it is imperative that one has a better description and technical aspects of his inventions known and protected before hand.

It’s Foreign

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

So much Internationalisation - now there's a big word .

It just means that too many foreign companies are just a really big international monoply.

You know those big ones, the Chocolate one, the Software one, the Car company.

Are they really any good for your neighbourhood??. Or do they just take away all the local jobs to some 3rd world country, that has really cheap labour?.

Do they have any international liability , at all?.

Are they so big that their turnover is larger than some of the GDP of some small countries, that are in Africa or Sth America?.

Is their  board of directors, liable to any one at all?.  Even their shareholders??.

Look at how some of their CEOs have behaved .. CAN YOU TRUST THEM ??.

I sure can't.

I'd like to suggest that YOU don't support them.. .. start in your local Supermarket.

BUY LOCAL             BUY LOCAL            BUY LOCAL                    BUY LOCAL.

Getting your self into Trouble!

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

There are a few simple ways to really get your self into big trouble when it comes to Patents. The first of these is blatant Patent Infringement. This is never a very smart thing to do, as it could land you in hot water with both the original inventor and the federal government or governments (if you are dealing with an international situation).

However, this has never really stopped some intellectual property attorneys people from deliberately infringing on someone else’s Patent. Some people do not really care if they are ripping off someone else’s ideas and hard work; but most people really do their best to stay out of legal trouble.

What is a Criminal Record?

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

criminal record  is essentially a list of criminal activities and run ins for which a person has been booked. There will be mentions of the status of cases, whether they have been thrown out or successfully pursued. These records have the potential to derail a person’s life and career- which is why one should be never involved in any sort of illegal activity. An act that you did in your late teens may very well make things inconvenient for you in your late 50’s. Cases like these have indeed happened, and it’s very important to realize that criminal records will always be a very difficult burden to have to bear.

Advantages of Bench Trials

Friday, January 25th, 2008

Recently an executive facing fraud charges waived his right to a jury trial and opted for a bench trial.  He reasoned with a Chicago law firm that with the recent public sentiment against white-collar executives as backlash for the Enron and many other corporate scandals of the recent past that he would fare better in a bench trial and he was right.  The judge found the executive not guilty of all charges.  It's not likely a jury would have reached the same verdict.  So there's a good example of when a bench trial is preferable to a jury trial. In a bench trial, the judge is responsible for drawing conclusions from the facts and rendering a verdict of either guilty or not guilty.

Insurance Law and The Sea

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Being the owner of a cargo ship I have experienced my ship being stranded in the middle of the seas during a turbulent storm and hence suffering structural damage . With the help of the maritime insurance law I was able to revamp my ship to its original condition. No one likes paying for insurance but man o' man when you need it you're sure glad you paid up.
