Rarely nowadays will software testing be done by the same company that develops a particular piece of software. In almost all cases, this part of the process is contracted out and outsourced to make the development process cheaper as well as more efficient. It is quite important to note that most of these software testing jobs are being transferred to developing countries such as India, due to the very competitive wage rates present in those countries and the quality of work produced.
