Employee Selection
I was spent months interviewing people to be the general manager of my manufacturing plant. I needed someone that understood the business, the product, and could drive Lean improvement throughout the company every day. First I hired the wrong guy. He had a lot of knowledge about Lean and a good amount of industry experience, but he was so old school. I found the right person by having a company that specializes in finding the employee that is the right fit screen my final candidates. Now my GM has the skills, experience, and personality to lead the team. And I am much more relaxed.
