Canadian Postage Stamps committee
The postage stampscommittee works to make sure that each of the Canadian regions and different cultures is adequately represented each year.
The committee also oversees the designers that will bring these subjects to the postage stamp. It is important for an artist to understand the small canvas and to be able to capture the subject matter effective in that tiny area. Designers must go through an approval process. It typically takes about two years for a stamp to go through the submission, approval and design processes.
