Shipping With Trains

The only vehicle available that could beat trains for the economical movement of goods is ships. In many landlocked areas, trains are the only cheap way of shipping large quantities of goods. The modular nature of many trains also allows several kind of cargo to be loaded onto them, with a change of car being all that’s necessary for this. In areas that cannot have seaports, trains will often be the most economical method of transport. Trucks and aircraft may be used, but they are markedly more expensive to use per ton of cargo delivered.
