MT
Medical transcription, or just “MT” as it’s called, includes typing documents and formatting those documents according to a standardized criteria. It also includes the transcription of the spoken word, which usually includes a patient’s specific medical information and the physician’s diagnosis/remarks into a written format.
Plus, medical transcription is used as the primary means of communication — from one doctor to another healthcare provider — who both need access to a certain patient’s medical records to help coordinate their treatment and diagnosis of the patient’s health and past or current treatments, and to also help insure the best coordination of overall care and treatment between two or more physicians.
