A big talent pool of student’s cannot go to college just because of funds. Realizing the need for more and more trained individuals, arising in every field of business, the government and many private funding agencies and foundations have come with undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships .These are aids that help students pay for their education in various fields like law, medicine, engineering, anthropology, microbiology, advertising, business administration, just to name a few. Unlike the student loans, these scholarships and fellowships or grants do not have to be repaid. These agencies also have a second focus to bring out the hidden talents from the pool of minorities especially the black men. Special scholarship programs and grants have been arranged as College Grants For Black Men. College grants for black men are given to hundreds of students by several thousand sponsors each year. There are grants like Ford foundation diversity fellowships, NSF minority postdoctoral research fellowships and supporting activities, Southern Regional Education Board Doctoral Scholars Program and William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship
