Buy tax lien home

Tax liens are handled a little differently in each state, but they are essentially the debt that a property owner owes for late taxes. Investors buy these, and to pay them off and so not lose their property, an owner must pay whatever fees and interest rate the law specifies. If you invest in such a property through a buy tax lien home, it is a sign indicating to you that is property is more likely to go all the way to tax Lien foreclosure or all the way to the tax deed sale. If the property owner doesn't pay the lien by the deadline, you have to publish a notice three times before getting title to the property.
